How to Transfer Your Search Internally
Need to collaborate with a colleague? NLPatent empowers users with the flexibility of transferring search projects internally within the organization. It’s easy. Here are the short steps to hand off a project to a colleague.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Transferred search projects include all associated data, such as saved results, the query attached to the project, and the work you've performed within the project.
- The recipient of the transfer must have an NLPatent user login to access the project.
- Exercise caution to prevent mistyped emails or transfers to the wrong recipient, as this action is irreversible and carries the risk of losing your search project.
- Search projects can only be transferred to emails within your company domain.
Step 1: Access Your Dashboard
Locate the project you wish to transfer, and next to its title, you'll see an "Edit" button. Click this button to access the project's settings.
Step 2: Access Project Settings
When editing a search project, you'll find three options: "Rename Project," "Transfer Project," and "Delete Project." Simply enter the email of the NLPatent user you wish to transfer to.
Step 3: Enter the Recipient's Email and Submit
It's important to note that search projects can only be transferred to emails within your company domain. Once you've entered the recipient's email, double-check for accuracy, as this action cannot be undone. Click "Submit" to initiate the transfer. Your search project will then disappear from your dashboard and appear on the NLPatent dashboard of the recipient.
It's that straightforward. If you face any issues in regards to transferring projects. Remember, you can reach out to support@nlpatent.com and someone from our team will get to your inquiry.
