How Do Credits Work? (NLPatent Monitor)
Understanding Credits in NLPatent Monitor
Unlike NLPatent Search, where pricing is based on the number of seats your organization is using, NLPatent Monitor operates on a tiered credit-based system. Depending on which tier your organization is on, you will have access to a certain number of Monitor Credits.
Monitor Credit Tiers
- Free - 10 credits
- Small - 100 credits
- Medium - 500 credits
- Large - 1,500 credits
- Very large - 2,500 credits
- Enterprise - 2,500+ credits
What are Monitor Credits?
Credits represent the amount of monitoring capacity an organization can use. When you enable a monitor, it deducts a certain amount of credits from your organization’s credit balance. The more things you want to monitor, the more credits you will need. Getting alerts doesn’t consume credits, so the number of credits used by a monitor will remain constant regardless of how many alerts you get or how often the monitor is run.
How many credits does each Monitor use?
The number of credits required depends on the type of monitor you set up:
- Patent List Monitor: 1 credit per patent (e.g., a list of 10 patents will cost 10 credits).
- Natural Language Monitor: 5 credits per monitor.
- Keyword Monitor: 3 credits per monitor.
- Filter Monitor: 3 credits per monitor.
Freeing up credits
Credits aren’t permanently consumed by enabling a Monitor. You can free up credits at any time by disabling a monitor, allowing you to relocate those credits to a different monitor as needed.
Viewing Credit Usage
If you’re an admin at your organization, you can view your organization’s credit usage on the “Plan Information” tab of the billing page.
